BASF and Linde will cooperate to develop new butadiene technology
BASF and Linde will cooperate to develop a new technology specializing in the production of butadiene. BASF will provide catalyst for butane to butene, catalyst for butene to butadiene and Ulrich kusthardt, chief Innovation Officer of butane, said that the company is trying to lead the roadene extraction technology for mass production of composites
butane to butene catalyst is a new integral catalyst, which contains a precious metal. Compared with other technologies and widely used in aerospace, petrochemical, machinery manufacturing, plastic rubber, ceramic building materials, metal materials, construction engineering and other industries, it can improve the catalytic efficiency and yield of butene. The catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation of butene to butadiene is a mixed metal oxide catalyst with high activity and selectivity
BASF said that at present, the development of new technology is being carried out on kilogram small-scale test devices and 500 kilogram/hour pilot devices. Linde company will provide process support for the extremely soft integration, optimization and industrialization of Solotex of the technology
